Vanderbilt University has been involved in Internet2 since March of 1998. Our current connection to I2 is through the SoX GigaPoP in Atlanta, Georgia. This connection is over an OC-12 (622 MegaBits/second) circuit. Swannee, The University of the South, and MTSU are connected to Internet2 through Vanderbilt University as well.

Q: How do I use I2?
A: You probably already are. If you're on Vanderbilt's network, communicating from here to another I2 participant (like Stanford), all the internet traffic goes over the I2 pipe.
